Staph bacteria, the cause of staph infection
The majority of staph infection starts when the bacteria enters through some type of skin damage. The staph bacteria is often found in the nose or mouth of about a third of the population. For the most part it remains benign, until an opportunity arises!

However, the majority of hospitals now take exceptional precautions not only with themselves but also with visitors to make sure that the bug is not passed on.
